Nov 26, 2009 · Feb 1, 2017. #1. finally got around to spending a day and a tank of fuel with my "new" 2015 makita 6100P chainsaw. my first impressions are very favorable , the saw is very well made and logically laid out-- starts in one or two pulls , it even started on two pulls after i flooded it. three non "pro" things about this saw as it comes new--. I've had two different chains break off an MS361, 20", .050, 3/8. One broke and was caught by the chain catcher and clutch cover and the other shot straight off the nose of the bar about 20 feet. The chains were new (only 1-2 sharpenings) and were improperly spun at a dealer.There are far better and cheaper options from any of these oils you mention . If you are sited in EU ,I may suggest the Power One Racing. from Castrol at 25-30 ml per liter of gasoline.It is maybe the cleanest burning 2T oil available in EU .And quite cheap actually ,at 10-15 € per liter.Full synthetic , JASO-FD .Usually for it takes around 100 psi for most 2 cycle to start. Pull the muffler and take a look see at the piston and cylinder for damage or just a stuck ring. You be surprise how many stuck rings I free over the years on trimmers and chainsaws. As I said on the other forum my Little Red has 110 psi on only a couple pulls.This is my first post and I hope someone can help. It's possible to put different length bars, and different pitch chains on saws. The drive sprocket, guide bar, and chain work together as a system, and must be compatible. The Poulan 71A is just about at its best at 135psi and will still run on 90psi. Compression is relative to a lot of factors to that particular engine.
